The purpose of the course is to give students more understanding of permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSM) through DSP experiments via VisSim software. The contents of this course contain the following experimental items: (1) Introduction to basic principles of permanent magnet synchronous motors (2) Introduction to VisSim software (3) Encoder testing (4) V/F open loop control (5) D-Q axis transformation (6) Open-loop current vector control (7) Closed-loop current vector control (8) Closed-loop speed control (9) Closed-loop position control
